- Notices or Reminders:
- Coupons/Kits: when you have a manufacturer’s coupon that you will be using on your events you must enter a kit into your Offer so that Mail Services knows to get the coupons sent to the stores and how many per store. Posted 6/8/09/li>
- Offer Date Ranges -
- All offers must have a 14-day date range unless it is a special event such as Grand Openings, Radio remotes, etc. Offers submitted with shorter date ranges will be opened up to a 14-day window beginning the Monday prior to your first date selected. Posted 6/8/09
- Offers with coupons: In the best interest of your event, please give your coupons at least a 14-day window AFTER your Offer date range, thus allowing the Showtime partner sufficient time for necessary reschedules. Offers submitted with date ranges that are at the end of the coupon date range may limit the possibilities for the Partner to effectively perform your event. We want to perform your events inside the entire coupon date range, but if you submit the offer at the end of your coupon date range you stand the chance of having events performed without a coupon. - Please refer to the Showtime website when logging in to the system; this is where we post updates and messages to keep you informed.

- System Issues:
- When adding items to an offer or creating offers, please only search for your items by UPC and not by item code. The item code look up service is not working correctly. We will post an update to the website when it’s up and running again. Posted 5/18/09
- Attachments CANNOT be larger than 2mbs each. The stores cannot receive them. Posted 5/18/09

This tab will be used to tell you about changes and Enhancements to the SESS system.
- SESS is now Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) compatible. If you are using another Internet browser, i.e. Netscape, Firefox, or any other browser we do not support them. You can experience some screens come up but you will not get full functions through them.
We do NOT support MAC computers either.
- Store Selection change. When creating an Offer, inside the “Stores” tab after selecting an Income or Region (or both) check boxes, you must click the “Select Stores” link for the system to recognize your selection. Note: if you select the “Central Texas Region” and only the “Mid” Income you will get the delta of the two selections, mid stores in the central region.

- How much product can I expect to send out for each event?
Showtime’s internal goal is a minimum of $250 in sales per Selling Event.
Vendors should use this amount as a guide.
BDMs have final sign-off on all DOL quantities.
- Can I schedule a third-party to manage my selling event?
At this point, no third-party events will be allowed in order to maintain the integrity of the Showtime brand.
- How can I educate Showtime Partners about my products’ uniqueness?
You may provide a free sample for Partners to try at home in advance of the event.
This allows for testimonial selling.
Robust selling points and key product attributes are critical and should be provided to your BDM and while on-line requesting your events.
- Do I get to pick which day my selling event occurs?
No, the Showtime scheduling team will book your events within 2 weeks of your requested date.
We do our best to get as close to the requested date as possible.
- How does H-E-B retain a great selling staff?
H-E-B schedules events daily offering more shifts to our best sellers with weekly recognition for leading the company in sales.
Partners are coached, motivated and evaluated on an ongoing basis to keep selling fresh and alive.
- How many coupons should I provide?
When you book the event on-line and indicate their will be a coupon stores order accordingly.
A minimum of 300 coupons PER EVENT, per store are required.
- Why a 14-week lead time to book Showtime Selling Events?
This enables advertising, procurement, supply chain and stores to properly prepare ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time.
- Income cluster of stores?
Approximately 200 HEB stores participate in Showtime. Each store’s product assortment is geared toward local customer demographics.
We match Selling Events to the customer profile of each store.
The below Policies are not all inclusive. We have posted these as reminders of our H-E-B’s policies have been in place for several years now. In the future we will work on listing others.
- H-E-B sells groceries seven days a week and we run demo events seven days a week. No Company (including HEB OB products) will get only weekends or all events only on one day. At times there are exceptions. Showtime Management will determine these viable exceptions. If you feel you need one, you may contact the Showtime Business Manager.
- We continue to see a lot of offers come in with the event date only being for one day (i.e. Saturday). Please keep in mind that there is a minimum 14-day company policy that allows us to extend your event dates. We will work to schedule the amount of events you requested within that 14-day window, or we will contact you if needed to move them out farther.
- H-E-B’s policy is that we do not allow Manufacturer’s, Vendors, other Companies or 3rd Party demo companies to perform their own events in H-E-B Showtime store(s). Exceptions are made for viable reasons and events. Showtime Management determines these viable exceptions. These exceptions will only be for events that an H-E-B Partner cannot perform. (An example of such an event is screen printing pictures on t-shirts.) Other exceptions are for small independent companies during Grand Openings. But these have to be set up and authorized through Showtime. There is a fee for these exceptions.
- For Marketing Companies or Brokers; if payments are not received within H-E-B’s policy terms we will deduct from the manufacturer’s account. You stand a chance of losing your good standing with H-E-B Showtime and your account be turned to “prepay”.
- H-E-B’s policy is that we do NOT fill out surveys or make the Partner call into an 800 number after an event has been completed.
- We do not perform Non-food products during Holiday weeks unless the items go with a food item or make sense to be promoting during a Holiday week.
- All offers must have a 14-day date range unless it is a special event such as Grand Openings, Radio remotes, etc. Offers submitted with shorter date ranges will be opened up to a 14-day window beginning the Monday prior to your first date selected.
- Offers submitted with coupons that are at the end of their date range will possibly be performed outside the coupon’s date range.
